Brevard Workforce sought and won a National Emergency Grant to aid businesses in hiring and training transitioning aerospace workers displaced from specific companies affected by changes to the space program at Kennedy Space Center.
The overall purpose of the grant is to get employees trained while providing business with salary support during the training period.
This special On-The-Job Training (OJT) program can help make it possible for your business to hire and train a displaced aerospace worker from one of the companies significantly impacted by layoffs.
You may be eligible for: 50 percent of initial salary for up to 1,040 hours with an approved training plan.
“There are many businesses that have been waiting, looking carefully at the payroll, trying to find a way to move forward,” said JEFF SCHIFF, Business Liaison, Brevard Workforce. “This special OJT program—in many cases—can be the difference businesses need to take the step to grow again while adding needed talent to their team.”
