Brevard Workforce offers workshops and a wide array of resources such as Virtual Video Interview practice sessions, job readiness and career transition workshops, a vast resource library and a robust referral system.
In addition, the Brevard Workforce Express is a state-of-the-art mobile training facility that can be used for seminars such as resume writing, training on critical skills and for small scale job fairs.
Completely self-contained with a generator and high speed satellite dish, the Express provides Internet access and requires only adequate parking and restroom facilities.
The following are four examples of workshops that can come to you:
Resume’ Writing
A thorough presentation is provided that details tips, techniques and styles for developing resumes’, cover letters and the all important thank you note. One-on-one resume’ critiquing sessions are available to participants at the conclusion of the training.
Minimum suggested length is 1 hour, not including the time for individual reviews.
Interviewing Skills and the Job Search Process
Receive up-to-date information about employability skills, labor market research, interviewing styles and interview questions.
Minimum suggested length is 1 hour.
Unemployment Compensation Information
Participants will gain valuable knowledge regarding methods for filing an unemployment compensation claim, the information necessary to file a claim, information about claim processing and a question/answer period.
Minimum suggested length is 30 minutes.
Overview of Community Resources
This session is intended to educate dislocated employees about various service organizations within the community and how to access their assistance. These resources include many of the programs delivered through, or in conjunction with, Brevard Workforce including: AARP’s SCEP (Senior Citizens Employment Program), Youth Programs, Veterans Services and more.
