Faith In The Future – Job Club Initiative

Our system can’t easily deal with the emotional and psychological aspects of unemployment, but many in the faith community can and do deal with these factors every day. That’s why we have partnered with willing faith-based and neighborhood organizations to start and manage Job Clubs.

The U.S. Department of Labor

The U.S. DOL’s Center for Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships has a Community of Practice called the Partnerships CoP. Designed for Job Club coordinators, volunteers, organizers, and others, the Partnerships CoP is a place to share toolkits and resources, connect with other Job Clubs locally and across the country, share contact information for One-Stop Career Centers with active Job Clubs, and access Webinars, discussion threads, and other resources.

The USDOL Employment and Training Administration also encourages Job Club coordinators to connect with its electronic tools, including:

The White House Office of Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partners

This office functions within the Domestic Policy Council to form partnerships between the Federal Government and faith-based and neighborhood organizations to more effectively serve Americans in need.
