In the RESOURCES section of this website, there are many organizations listed that have specific offers of assistance and programs which provide help, expertise or evaluation to individuals with disabilities to help overcome these barriers. A few are listed here.
Bridges has supported the Brevard community for over fifty years through unique employment programs for individuals with Developmental Disabilities. Services feature individualized work skills development, career exploration and job placement.
Brevard Achievement Center’s mission is to assist persons with disabilities in reaching an optimal level of vocational and social independence. Services include Adult Day Training, Community Based Inclusion programs, Vocational Evaluation and long-term Assessment, Job Placement, Supported Employment, Supported Living, Employment opportunities at eleven Federal sites and at Commercial Document Destruction (shredding).
The Brevard Business Leadership Network is a grassroots-level employer lead organization dedicated to expanding the employment opportunities for students and adults with disabilities.
Easter Seals Florida assists individuals with disabilities in finding community employment. Services include pre-employment skills training, job coaching, job development, supported employment and follow-along services.
Goodwill Self-Sufficiency Job Center assists between 20-40 job seekers daily, and offers complete job search, placement and employability coaching on a walk-in basis.
Space Coast Area Transit operates Paratransit services to serve the mobility needs of those who are unable to utilize fixed routes by providing wheelchair accessible Paratransit vehicles which carry passengers throughout Brevard County on a daily basis.
Volunteers of America® – of Florida provides pre-employment training and job placement services for Military Veterans who are either disabled or homeless. In addition to serving Veterans, VOA is an Employment Network for the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation and SSA’s Ticket-To-Work.
