Helping Veterans and Military Families Find Employment in Brevard

The mission of the Brevard Workforce Veterans Program is to promote and maximize the employment of Florida’s veterans, especially veterans with barriers to employment, utilizing the complete menu of Brevard Workforce resources.

The Military Family Employment Advocacy Program (MFEA) provides local resources and assistance to base community family members who are seeking employment or a transition into a new career. The MFEA program supports Patrick Air Force Base, the local Florida National Guard and reserve units.

Brevard Workforce is staffed with specialists, a network of professional Disabled Veterans Outreach Program (DVOP) experts and Local Veterans Employment Representatives (LVER) who are tasked to provide priority workforce services to veteran customers. We focus on providing intensive case management services to veterans with barriers to employment, disabled veterans, and our veterans with other post-service challenges.

We conduct outreach to employers and engage in advocacy efforts with hiring executives and managers to increase employment opportunities for veterans. Our staff is also responsible for ensuring that veterans are provided the full range of priority workforce services in our Career Center.

Brevard Workforce operates a broad spectrum of state and federally funded employment and training programs to assist Veterans in Brevard County and many local resources.

The three Brevard Workforce Career Centers and the staff members invite you to make use of the variety of professional services we provide to veteran job applicants. Brevard Workforce provides veterans with the tools necessary to conduct an effective job search by providing strategic job information, market analysis and skill assessment tools. Our staff is also available to answer any related veteran question and assist the veteran with the job search process.

The information contained is only meant as an overview of the veteran services. For more information, we encourage all Brevard County Veterans to call or meet with a Brevard Workforce representative and discuss the services that are available to you.

The Employ Florida Veterans Portal and the My Next Move Portal, which allows Veterans to search based on the type of job they had while serving, are also both rich resources.
