There are lots of options and ways to start.

READJUSTMENT COUNSELING SERVICES
A local resource, the Veterans Center welcomes home war veterans by providing quality readjustment services to veterans and their families.
1. REGISTRATION.
When you initially report to a Brevard Workforce Career Center, one of our associates will instruct you on the registration process. You will be asked to enter your employment history, job skills, salary and personal desires into the statewide Employ Florida information system. As local employers list jobs, veteran applicant files are searched to find qualified veterans. If a qualified veteran matches the employer’s desired skills, a veteran representative will make every attempt to contact the veteran. Additionally, a Brevard Workforce representative is available for job assistance, counseling and any other veteran related issues.
2. SEARCHING FOR WORK with Brevard Workforce
Brevard Workforce gives you career guidance, online job searches, resume and letter-writing assistance; training and education program information, detailed information on specific employers and industries and access to state and national job searches. This site encompasses all areas of job seeking, labor market research, and benefits and social services. Additionally, this site serves as a link to the statewide Employ Florida information system. Employ Florida allows a user to search for employment and create a basic resume. Employ Florida also allows users to access their job skills and investigate other career fields.
3. USING Brevard Workforce CAREER CENTER RESOURCES
All Brevard Workforce Career Centers offer resource rooms with video and print libraries on many employment topics, computers with WIN WAY Resume Maker, scanners, fax machines and a dedicated staff to assist you in using these resources. We also offer a weekly schedule of job skill workshops designed to help you obtain employment. There are also on site job recruitment fairs that are held. Please ask a Brevard Workforce representative for a list of scheduled workshops or recruiting events. You can also view the Brevard Workforce Calendar of Events for more information. These resources are available at no cost to you!
