The Gold Card was specifically developed to provide veterans with priority services—to ensure our veterans get what they need to succeed in today’s job market.

An eligible veteran can present the Gold Card at a Brevard Workforce Career Center to receive enhanced intensive services including up to six months of follow-up. The enhanced in-person services available for Gold Card holders at Brevard Workforce include:

• Job Search and Placement Assistance
• Career Planning and Counseling
• Case Management
• Assessment and Testing Services
• Interviewing Skills Training
• Referral to On-The-Job Training (OJT) Programs
• Veterans’ Job Fairs
• Employability Skills Workshops
• Resume Preparation/Writing
• Job Development
• Referral to Supportive Services
• Case Manager and Monthly follow-up

Veterans Priority of Service Information

The U.S. Department of Labor (USDOL) provides grants to the State of Florida to provide employment and training services to eligible residents and workers. As a condition to receiving those funds, priority of service will be given to qualified veterans and eligible family members when referring individuals to job openings, USDOL funded training programs or related services.
