Brevard County, FLORIDA - Brevard Workforce, the area authority on workforce development, is launching its “We Love Our Vets” campaign on February 14, 2012 to coincide with Valentine’s Day.

The initiative expedites assistance to Brevard County’s military veterans. As of 2009, there were nearly 1,900 unemployed veterans in Brevard County, according to the U.S. Census Bureau’s American Community Survey.

Eligible veterans will be issued a “Gold Card” granting them specialized, express services at all Brevard Workforce Career Centers as well as six months of one-on-one case management and career counseling with experience Veteran Representatives.

“It goes without saying that we are extremely proud and humbled to serve these men and women,” said Brevard Workforce President Lisa Rice. “Our veterans are dedicated and hard-working go-getters and leaders - qualities that every employer should look for when hiring.”

Starting on Tuesday, February 14, veterans can register for their Gold Card by filling out a brief form atwww.brevardworkforce.com/goldcard. Registration forms for Gold Cards are also available at any of the Brevard Workforce Career Centers.
