Community in Motion is a communication project “in the public interest” produced by a team of experts from three cooperating community partners. In a collaboration with Brevard Community College and FLORIDA TODAY Communications, Brevard Workforce has developed and produced a :30 minute special broadcast, airing multiple times, that can also be accessed online and in a special March 11 print edition.
The focus of this special communications effort is on community transition, how leaders find pathways to opportunity, build a network of positive action and work to meet the challenges of sustaining progress.

Various conversations with aviation experts from Wichita and Omaha, helped make this inaugural show of interest to citizens of the Space Coast. Special interviews with Greg Weiner, CEcD, Senior Director Business Development for the Economic Development Commission of Florida’s Space Coast; Richard Ennis, Executive Director of Melbourne International Airport; Linda Miedema, PhD, Vice President of Planning and Assessment, Brevard Community College; Lisa Rice, President of Brevard Workforce and industry leaders from PAA, Northrop Grumman and AAR Airlift, helped provide the robust multi-faceted viewpoints that bring focus to the rise of aviation on the Space Coast.
The inaugural show airs six times on WBCC-TV, publishes as a special FLORIDA TODAY print edition and can be accessed online starting Sunday, March 11.
COMMUNITY IN MOTION was made possible through in-kind contributions by collaborating partners of talent, equipment and airtime, and it has applications to the missions of all three organizations. This collaborative action creates an opportunity for the public to hear from those bringing change in the workplace and the community actions required to work together to ensure a robust and vital community.
